Benfleet High Road Fundraiser

Today, I was fortunate enough to raise money for UK Youth as part of my London Marathon 2025 fundraiser on Benfleet High Road. In total, we raised £135 and sold out.

This event was not just about giving, but rather, a chance to connect with my local community. I had some great conversations with local residents, colleagues, and old friends.

Community networks & relations are integral in creating senses of belonging. They help bring people with shared beliefs together in a variety of ways; through social groups or events. In this case, this event united local residents in one belief - the belief that we have the responsibility to give to charity.

UK Youth is a leading charity with a vision that all young people must be equipped to thrive, and empowered to contribute, at every stage of their lives. With an open network of more than 9,000 youth organisations and nation partners, they are focused on unlocking youth work as the catalyst of change that is needed now more than ever.

Thank you to everyone who made this fundraiser possible. Raising money for a charity close to my heart is always a blessing. I cannot wait to share the upcoming fundraising events I have planned for 2025.
